Participate in a study for course credit or remuneration
We are always looking for participants for our studies. Some studies will be conducted in our lab in Berlin-Adlershof and others may be conducted online. You can find out about current experiments by using the SONA platform of the Institute of Psychology. You will be paid for your participation or, if you are a psychology student at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, you can choose to receive academic credits (VP-Marken) instead.
Bachelor or Master Thesis
We frequently have research projects that are suitable for bachelor or master theses. If you would like to do your bachelor or master thesis with us, please send an email with your CV, recent academic transcripts, and a brief statement about the topic in which you are interested.

Doctoral Studies
There are different ways to conduct doctoral studies at the lab. We are affiliated with the Berlin School of Mind and Brain and ECN graduate programs, which provide funding for doctoral studies. We are also affiliated with the DFG-funded Cluster of Excellence Science of Intelligence, which offers paid PhD positions. Please check the relevant websites for information on how to apply and for application deadlines. If you are planning to apply through one of these programs, please first get in touch with Rasha Abdel Rahman.
Alternatively, you can independently apply for funding from a host of academic scholarships. If you have an idea for a research project please first get in touch. In case there is an agreement about conducting your PhD at our lab, we can provide you with a list of potential stipends.
Job Announcement (PhD position): We are currently looking for a research fellow (m/f/d) with expected 3/4-part-time employment (third-party funding limited for 3 years) for our new project “The neurocognition of social-emotional (mis)information”.
